MEET LENKA

Welcome to Yoga Shapes Me, where yoga meets tranquillity and wellness. My name is Lenka, and I am the founder of Yoga Shapes Me.

With over 10 years of dedicated practice and 4 years of teaching experience, I am passionate about guiding and supporting practitioners on their journey to health and mindfulness through yoga and stretching. I am a certified Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Prenatal, and stretching teacher, as well as a traveller, scuba diver, hiker, and food lover.

My Story

I first tried yoga in 2005, but it didn’t resonate with me at the time—too little movement, holding poses for too long, and not enough action. I quit after a few classes. However, in 2014, I was introduced to body balance, which led me back to yoga. Over the years, I experienced the versatility of yoga—from deep, slow stretches that heal your joints and calm your mind, to strong Ashtanga, flowy Vinyasa, and powerful, sweaty Power Yoga.
I have practiced with many teachers in different countries—India, England, the United Arab Emirates, Bali, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. These experiences helped me find my unique style of practice and teaching. Through yoga practice, you connect with your body and mind, learning to listen to what is right and what is wrong. You learn to let go, be present, and be kind to yourself and others. Witnessing the mental and physical benefits of yoga firsthand inspired me to share this knowledge with others. I earned my first yoga teacher training certificate in 2020, and, believing in continuous education and improvement, I have since obtained many more.

MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

We are all different—we have unique bodies, ideas, needs, and dreams—but we all desire to be loved, happy, and healthy. I truly believe that yoga is a path to a pain-free body, calmness, and happiness. My teaching approach focuses on creating a nurturing and supportive space where practitioners can explore and deepen their practice based on their level. I emphasize mindful movement, breath awareness, and alignment, empowering practitioners to cultivate flexibility and inner peace both on and off the mat.
